The Downtown Chula Vista Association operates as a 501(c)3 non-for-profit organization and currently administers the Property & Business Improvement District, or PBID, & Business Improvement District or, BID.
Everything on this site is for educational purposes only. I have uploaded and/or linked corroborating documents to my findings and statements.
Why is this important?
The PBID is currently up for renewal by the City Council. Essentially, whatever is written in this management plan is what DCVA must abide by for the next decade and the City Council is the only body with authority to hold this group accountable. This is our opportunity to create a management plan that actually invests back to the district as it was meant to do, without any outside influence.
This website was originally created as my journalism platform, The Write Stef. I’m now repurposing it as a landing page for community education, information sharing, and digital organizing related to Downtown Chula Vista. I already maintain the site and pay for its hosting, using this existing platform allows me to keep costs low while creating a central place for community members to find information and get involved.
